Preparation time:
about 30 minutes + 45/45 baking time for 1 cake, for the double cake 43 minutes more for bakeing the second cake.
Ingredients
Cake:
- 5 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 90 g chopped dark chocolate
- 80 g butter
- 230 g flour
- 30 g starch
- 10 g yeast
- 2 pinches of salt
- 2 spoonfuls of maraschino
- butter for mould as required
Decoration:
- 4 spoonfuls of concentrated milk
- 3 spoonfuls of strawberry jelly
- redcurrants
Preparation
Cake: melt the butter with the chopped dark chocolate. Beat the eggs with the sugar, then pour in the chocolate mixture a little bit at a time beating together.
Add the flour and starch together with the yeast and salt.
Pour the mixture into the lightly buttered mould.
Bake at 175° for 43/45 minutes.
Take the cake out of the oven and after 5/8 minutes, turn it out onto the rack to cool. Level off the base of the cake.
If you want to achieve the result
shown in the photograph, prepare another cake combining another lot of ingredients following the same procedure as before.
Fill the first cake with 300 g of whipped cream with 30 g of icing sugar and flavoured with 1 sachet of vanilla powder.
Sprinkle with 40 g of grated dark chocolate, then place the other cake on top. Then start decorating.
Decoration:
fill in the outer points and the centre of the star cake with the concentrated milk and fill the hollow of the interlacement in the centre of the cake with the strawberry jelly. Put a redcurrant berry on the 5 points and one in the centre of the cake.
