How to clean ceramic hobs in a natural way

Πως να καθαρίσετε τις κεραμικές εστίες με φυσικό τρόπο

Small tips for cleaning the ceramic hob, as well as preventing the creation of annoying scratches!

Natural way of cleaning a ceramic hob

  • Fill a bowl with lukewarm water.
  • With a sponge (non scratching) dipped in lukewarm water, soak the surface of the stove and the dried stains.
  • Wet the sponge constantly to remove stains on the sponge that may scratch the surface of the stove.
  • Pour a small amount of baking soda on each stubborn stain and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
  • Wipe with a clean, soaked microfiber cloth and rub gently to remove the stain from the surface.
  • Repeat if the stains persist.

The fact that we see the ceramic hearth scratched does not necessarily mean that all we see is scratches. Usually difficult stains like these sugars leave lines and marks on the ceramic hearth. So with a good cleaning, the supposed scratches that scared us leave.

Unfortunately, if the scratches are deep, you can not do many things. But you can protect yourself from the next.

How do I protect the ceramic kitchen from scratches?

  • We always use utensils with smooth and flat bases
  • We NEVER drag the utensils if we want to take them off the fire. We pick them up and move them after!
  • If syrup or sugar falls from the pot, we wipe it immediately. Sugar is the biggest enemy of ceramic hobs.
  • Avoid contact of hot utensils with aluminum foil. Foil will leave a dark gray stain on the surface of your stove.
  • We always keep the ceramic kitchen clean, ready for the next use.
  • Do not leave dirty spoons or ladles on the ceramic surface.
