Plastic pollutes our lives from the moment it begins to be manufactured until the moment it ends up in the trash. In fact, if it really ends up in the trash (and not in recycling), it will continue to pollute not only our lives, but also that of our grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on...
What can we do?
We can put 3 words into action: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
1. We say NO to plastic bags!
Let's consider that a bag takes about 1,000 years to decompose in the environment and about 1,000,000 plastic bags are used every minute.
We can all agree that it is necessary to avoid their use in every possible way.
So instead of plastic, we carry reusable bags with us and do our shopping carefree.
2. We avoid plastic bottles
About 1,000,000 bottles per minute are bought by people all over the world. It is one of the most common garbage that ends up in the sea.
Instead of constantly buying plastic water bottles, we make sure we have our own bottle which we can refill again and again at any time and moment. In addition, we can use a multipurpose glass or a stainless steel bottle for our coffee or any other beverage.
3. We turn our backs on the straws
Plastic straws take up to 200 years to decompose.
So we can drink our coffee or juice without a straw or get a reusable one! Now, that the market is filled with paper, stainless and glass straws, we won't have any trouble getting them!
4. Plastic cutlery END!
We have 2 options here: Either use the cutlery we have at home or buy wooden ones.
5. We make plastic free choices and RECYCLE!
Inside and outside the house we choose environmentally friendly products and recycle all the plastic that we use.
