How to properly clean your yard

Πως να καθαρίσετε σωστά την αυλή σας

Are you one of the lucky ones to have a yard? Do you like enjoying the summer sun in a clean space?

We know that cleaning your yard can become a tedious and complicated job, but we have some tips to help you!

Yard cleaning:

How to clean the marks left by the pots

Those who have yards are sure to have flower pots. Some have pots of their favorite flowers while some others take advantage of the pots and place parsley, mint, thyme and other herbs. In any case, our favorite pots beautify our yard.

If you want to clean difficult stains from pots on the patio floor, you will need 2 lt. hot water, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda.

Mix all the ingredients in a bucket and with a sponge, place the mixture on the stains and let it work for about an hour. After the hour has passed, rub the stain with a wire and the stain will be a thing of the past!

How to clean your patio tiles

Most courtyards have tiles on their floor. So start by removing all the obstructing objects first. Pots, chairs, tables, etc. Next, sweep the yard with a broom to remove any leaves, dust, or other debris.

The first way to clean your yard is to put warm water and white vinegar in a bucket and mop the floor.

If your patio tiles are rusted then you can use baking soda! Make a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar and apply it to the stains for a few minutes. Then, with a thin wire or a brush, rub the tiles. Finally, rinse with clean water.

How to clean the marbles

If you now have a marble floor or marble surfaces in general, you will again need baking soda.

You start by sprinkling the surface you want to clean with baking soda. Leave it on for a few minutes and then with a cotton cloth lightly rub the surface. Finally, mop with lukewarm water and dry by rubbing with a dry cloth.

You can optionally make a mixture of baking soda and warm water and scrub the floors with it using a cotton cloth or sponge. Let the mixture work again and rinse with water.

How to clean and maintain wooden patio furniture

Initially it is good to do regular cleaning to remove dust and easy stains with a vetex and a solution of liquid soap in warm water. For the most demanding stains, you can mix 1/4 cup of ammonia and 2 tbsp. white vinegar in 1 liter of hot water.

How to clean metal patio furniture

Oxidation, i.e. rust, is the most common problem these furniture have to deal with. Before doing anything, use a polishing cream to remove as much damage as possible.

Alternatively, you can make a mixture of white vinegar and water and wipe the surfaces of your furniture. Chemical liquids, ammonia and trisodium phosphate should be avoided. Alkaline materials which enhance oxidation should also be avoided.

To maintain their shine, it is good to regularly remove signs of wear with a soft cloth and a scrub-type material. If the color of your furniture is damaged, you can remove it with turpentine and paint it with an anti-rust varnish. Then paint them with rust resistant paint. To make cleaning last longer, cover them with a protective wax cream.

How to clean the glass surfaces

Glass surfaces in your yard can be cleaned with a simple cleaner that won't scratch them. After cleaning, spray the glass surface with white vinegar for extra shine. Then wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth.
